Thank you, glad you enjoyed this. And as for Fiasco I get what you mean. I guess I’m on my Pierre Niney era and therefore very biased with all his work at the moment 😅
If you keep mentioning the count of monte cristo at one point you’ll persuade me to start reading it, although I’m just now in the middle of a 1500 page trilogy already! Hope to catch the film one day with English subtitles somewhere, maybe on my next international flight!
There are so many recommendations here, this it perfect for the upcoming winter and the increased number of hours spent on the sofa streaming movies. One to bookmark! ;)
That's a very packed edition Cristina! Thanks for the rundown, have definitely added Fiasco to my list (sounds fun) and still waiting to see Lee. Have just started A Very Royal Scandal as was super curious as to how it compares to Scoop!
I still have a few days left on Amazon Prime for free trial and I plan to watch A Very Royal Scandal as I want to see as well how it compares with Scoop. However, no fictional account can top the real interview... And Lee is a wonderful film so hope you can watch it soon.
I love Emily in Paris! There, I said it, and I'm not ashamed to say it. I don't "hate-watch" or "guilty watch" it. I watch it because I like it. It's fun, fluffy and harmless. It's not realistic at all and that's what I love! And also, Sylvie. How could you not love Sylvie? But yeah I'm getting annoyed at Emily's unwillingness to learn any language at all.
I really want to see Lee! And thanks to this post, I learned about two new films I want to see, Thelma and Radical - thanks for the tips. I've also seen Dolomite is My Name, and, well, it's quite a ride!
Sylvie is the absolute star of the show! And I agree with it being a harmless show. I'm actually looking forward to season 5 and seeingmore of Rome. I only hope Netflix doesn't split it in two parts as it disrupts the story flow and, let's be honest, this is a show visually made for binge watching.
So many good recommendations!
I loved Fiasco until I didn't. I don't know why but the first few episodes were so good and then I just felt it was repeating itself.

You definitely must read it so I can keep talking about it with you

Oh the long hours of dark and misery... they're already upon us in London, better have some films to watch ; )

Thanks Cristina for all the recommendations. I will tell our students to watch them!
Hope they like them, Liz.
