This appropriation of the term American by the US citizens needed this nuance and reminder - they are not the only 'Americans'. Really wise message and with such a strong positive tone. I don't like his music, but I did watch the entire halftime show and I loved the message he sent.

Bad Bunny's music is not really my style but when he released his latest album, I listened to a few of his interviews at the time discussing his creative process and how he is trying to in pay homage to his heritage and as a result I started to relate more to his music.
When I heard he would be doing the halftime show in Spanish I was curious to see the reactions and what kind of performance he would go for. I'm glad that it has reflected many of the things he was already talking about in regards to cultural heritage and what being American means to him.

Agree, it was a great political message and the reactions he got from the right-wing US media were hilarious, if not embarrassing.
I actually feel sorry for the people who performed in the other show - I wouldn't wish that to my worst enemy 😂
